For women, getting older can be a public affair- women’s age is under constant scrutiny in the media and advertising which generally only focusses on how much we have aged and changed physically from our younger selves.  We keep our bodies healthy as we age- to feel strong, increase our energy levels and maintain our wellbeing – so why not do this for our skin as well? An approach to anti-ageing should be holistic!

Moisturise regularly – dry skin is more likely to show fine lines and wrinkles and dermatologists agree that moisturiser is one of the most effective anti-ageing products you can invest in 
 
Eat healthy foods that nourish your body. 
 
Get enough sleep. Sleep is your body’s chance to rejuvenate and that includes your skin. 
 
Most importantly, care for your skin gently– age-related dryness and sensitivity will be further exacerbated by skin irritants.

Skin is just skin right? Not quite- especially when it comes to the area around our eyes. Squinting and constant movement of the eyes may accelerate the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and fluids can build up. The skin around the eyes is often quicker to show age and fatigue as it is thinner, more fragile, and prone to dryness which is why a dedicated eye cream can be an effective addition to your routine especially if there are specific issues you would like to target. Dark circles, fine lines, or puffiness are all common complaints!
