We recommend that you use Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream as soon as the stitches are removed to repair the skin. Once the scar is re-epidermised, massage it with Cicalfate+ Scar Gel for up to 6 months.
Yes, it is very important to protect scars from the sun to prevent them from darkening and/or thickening. You can apply a sunscreen directly on top of Cicalfate+ Scar Gel. Remember to apply a sufficient amount and to reapply every 2 hours at the most during prolonged exposure.
