In winter, they are constantly exposed to the cold and wind, which makes them even more vulnerable. They therefore require special care to face winter without losing comfort and softness.

To pamper them, Avène Laboratoire Dermatologique has reinvented the traditional Cold Cream formula with its nourishing, protective and softening properties, notably by replacing rose water with Avène Thermal Spring Water, with its recognised soothing and softening properties. Cold Cream is thus adapted to sensitive skin.

    An iconic formula with unparalleled efficacy

    Used for centuries, the Cold Cream-based formulation is a safe bet for dry skin. Its secret? It preserves the skin's hydrolipidic film (its protective shield) thanks to a mixture, created in the 2nd century, of beeswax, sweet almond oil, rose water and sodium borate. Even though its composition may vary, it’s always about protecting the skin by using the most protective and nourishing assets nature has to offer.

    Our Laboratoire has modernised this product to adapt it to the most sensitive skin, thanks to a natural formula combining mineral oil and beeswax to reinforce the skin barrier and, of course, Avène Thermal Spring Water with its soothing and softening properties.

    Avène Cold Cream thus provides complete and highly nourishing protection for the lips. Tested in extreme cold conditions (down to -25°C), the Cold Cream range resists the lowest temperatures and provides comfort and nourishment in the most extreme conditions.
